Prophecy

Weighing the merits of premil- and postmil- eschatology with special interest in the Restoration of the House of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.  No particular view is held in rigor since these essays are somewhat exploratory.

The author (myself) is an United Episcopalian and father of a growing English-descent family, living in Northern California. My family arrived in the colony of Maryland in 1673 and were early Quakers. We are Creedal, Arminian, Protestant, and believe in the Kingdom of God on earth, Zion.

Agreeing with Smith Jr’s Epitome of Faith, we might say:

  • We believe all that God has revealed, all that he does now reveal, and we believe that he will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
  • We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes, that Zion will be built upon this continent, that Christ will reign personally upon the earth, and that the earth will be renewed and receive its Edenic glory.

Parley P. Pratt’s Millennial Hymns #1 succinctly describes latter-day Restoration, first, for the Lost Tribes; second, for the remnant of Judah.
